Whatever your view on the Softbank Vision Fund, there is no denying that it is disruptive, mysterious, polarising and at times infamous. Softbank Group Founder & CEO, Masayoshi Son, who’s $20m investment in Alibaba in the year 2000 is legendary, is the visionary and face of the $US100bn Softbank Vision Fund. But within the Vision Fund there are a few key decision makers, one of which is Jeff Housenbold.

Jeff is a very successful US entrepreneur, CEO & investor who in this podcast shares fascinating insights about how the Vision Fund is structured, how he analyses sectors/companies/people and importantly, how he maintains investment discipline.

As is the case, the bad investments get the lion share of press, none bigger than the investment in WeWork, but for every WeWork there have been plenty of success stories. For those who have interests in the venture capital sector, this podcast is well worth a listen.
