Will Thorndike wrote one of the best books I have read, called ‘The Outsiders’ [side note: highly recommend reading].
In the book he analyses a small group of CEO’s who were not running particularly exciting companies but were exceptional at compounding capital and creating value for shareholders.
In this podcast interview, Will discusses his 8 year research project studying CEOs who were master capital allocators. Will breaks down the choices that a CEO has available to allocate capital and how the best allocators make their decisions. A fantastic interview for money managers as well as CEO’s.
